3 tips for creating lead magnets that work
A lead magnet is a special offer that you promote to your audience (your leads) in exchange for their email address.β
β
They can take many formats, including eBooks, whitepapers, PDFs, checklists, templates, short video training, mini-workshops, a challenge, audio files & even discounts. β
β
If you're considering creating a lead magnet for your biz (which you totally should!), here are my top 3 tips ποΈβ
β
Tip #1: Create for your customer
Your lead magnet should add value to your customer by solving a problem, answering questions or providing inspiration. β
β
Tip #2: Leave a gap
Leave room for your customer to want more. Create curiosity and spark interest in your bigger offer. Yes, your lead magnet should help your customer, but it should also entice them to reach out for more. Think of it like a taster or an appetiser. And your big offer (product or service) is the main course. β
β
β Tip #3: Make it easy to digest
Chances are your customer has downloaded many lead magnets before. And chances are, many of them are sitting on their laptop unopened. Why? Usually, it's because they just don't have time to sit and scroll through a long document. They want answers quickly. Whatever format you choose, think about the user experience. β
